Every meaningful organisation begins with a story.
‎CFM Initiative was born from a personal journey shaped by lived experience, mentorship, and a deep desire to help young people make wiser life decisions.
‎Like many young people, our Founder, Olubunmi [Surname], experienced the uncertainty that comes with making important life decisions without adequate guidance. After pursuing Accounting in higher education, it became clear that the chosen career path did not align with personal strengths and aspirations. Looking back, it was not a lack of ability that created the challenge—it was a lack of timely guidance.
‎Determined to find a better path, Olubunmi later transitioned into fashion design and established Springstar Needle-Line Koncept, an apparel-making business that continues to operate successfully today. While entrepreneurship provided direction and financial stability, it also revealed a deeper calling: helping others avoid the confusion, missed opportunities, and costly mistakes that often result from navigating life’s major decisions alone.
‎A defining turning point came through mentorship.
‎Under the guidance of a mentor, Olubunmi was introduced to structured personal development and eventually became a Certified Life Coach. That experience transformed not only personal decision-making but also revealed a profound truth: the right guidance, given at the right time, has the power to change the trajectory of a person’s life.
‎This experience gave birth to a conviction that continues to define CFM Initiative today:

‎Founded on the belief that timely guidance can transform lives, the Career, Finance and Marriage Mentorship (CFM) Initiative exists to equip children, teenagers, and young adults with the knowledge, skills, values, and opportunities they need to make informed decisions and build successful, purpose-driven lives.
‎Through mentorship, leadership development, financial literacy education, digital inclusion, employability training, entrepreneurship support, and strategic partnerships, CFM Initiative prepares young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world while remaining grounded in strong character and responsible citizenship.
‎The impact of this approach is already becoming evident. One young woman who initially struggled with both career direction and relationship decisions received mentorship and guidance through CFM Initiative.
